The Society offers a number of publications, in print and online, to keep the neuroscience community informed. Our flagship publication, The Journal of Neuroscience, publishes 50 times a year, and includes the latest research from throughout field. In addition to its scientific offerings, the Society publishes a variety of educational books and informational materials about neuroscience.

Annual Report

The Annual Report provides an overview of SfN accomplishments, efforts, and activities for FY2009. The report includes information about SfN's annual meeting, The Journal of Neuroscience, membership, chapters, professional development, outreach, advocacy, and finances, as well as features exploring the intersection of neuroscience with movement, global health, and the economy.

The Journal of Neuroscience

The Journal of Neuroscience, published by the Society for Neuroscience, is the premier peer-reviewed scholarly journal spanning the highly multi-disciplinary field of neuroscience research. The Journal of Neuroscience is now published weekly-except for the last two weeks in December, 12 months a year.

It is a valuable resource for neuroscientists and professionals in related fields such as psychiatry. A free online subscription is included with Society membership.

The History of Neuroscience in Autobiography

The History of Neuroscience in Autobiography is a five-volume book series, edited by Larry R. Squire, that details the lives and discoveries of eminent senior neuroscientists. The series is available in print and on video.
